NOTICE OF CHANGE – Temporary Traffic and Access Changes – Effective August 24

Dear Trucking Community,

As part of the New Rail Yard civil works and ongoing terminal improvements at PSA Halifax Atlantic Hub, temporary changes will be made to traffic routing and access beginning August 24, 2026.

These improvements are part of PSA Halifax’s continued efforts to enhance terminal efficiency and improve the movement of people, vehicles and cargo through Atlantic Hub. The New Rail Yard civil works project will support more efficient rail and truck operations and is expected to help reduce congestion and truck wait times when rail operations are underway.

The temporary routing arrangement is expected to remain in place for approximately 3 to 6 weeks.

During this period:

• Traffic entering the marshalling yard will access the terminal through the OOG gate.

• Trucks exiting the terminal will use the inbound OCR gate.

• Contractors, commercial partners and other terminal users should be aware of increased and redirected traffic in the Engineering area.

To accommodate the increased traffic volume, the intersection between the terminal and the Slate facility is being modified to provide wider roadways.

All contractors, drivers, commercial partners and other terminal users are asked to follow posted signage and traffic directions and exercise caution when travelling through the affected areas.

Please refer to the diagrams for the temporary traffic configuration.

Best regards,
